Venu Goswami is a Ramanujan Junior Visitor at the London Institute. Born and brought up in Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh, he attended Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in Delhi, where he earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. He went on to do an MSc in physics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna and he is currently working on his PhD at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research under the supervision of Prof. Kavita Jain. This focuses on the evolutionary dynamics in spatially heterogeneous selection within structured populations. Outside research, Mr Goswami likes playing football and chess, and exploring different kinds of music.
