Sir Roy Anderson
Sir Roy is a LIMS Trustee, a professor of epidemiology at Imperial College and former Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Defence.
Sir Roy Anderson FRS FMedSci is a Trustee of the London Institute. He is Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Imperial College London and Director of the London Centre for Neglected Tropical Disease Research. He studied zoology at Imperial, where he also did his PhD in parasitology. There he later became head of the biology department and Director of the Wellcome Centre for Parasite Infections. Moving to Oxford, he became head of the zoology department, held the Linacre Chair of Zoology at Merton College, and founded the Wellcome Centre for the Epidemiology of Infectious Disease. He was also Rector of Imperial College and Chief Scientific Adviser to the Ministry of Defence.
