Sir John Beddington
Sir John is a LIMS Trustee and professor at Oxford, and former Government Chief Scientific Adviser. His research is on mathematical ecology.
Sir John Beddington CMG FRS FRSE HonFREng is a Trustee of the London Institute. He is Senior Fellow at the Oxford Martin School and Professor of Natural Resource Management at Oxford. After studying economics at LSE, he did his PhD at the University of Edinburgh. Sir John is a Non-Executive Director of the Met Office, Chair of the Systemic Risk Institute at LSE, President of London Zoo and a Trustee of the Natural History Museum. He was Professor of Applied Population Biology at Imperial College London and Government Chief Scientific Adviser. He received the Order of the Rising Sun from Japan for his contribution to strengthening cooperation between Japan and the UK in science and technology.
