Guido Caldarelli

Prof. Caldarelli is an Associate Fellow at LIMS and professor of physics in Venice. He works on complex networks and statistical physics.

Prof. Guido Caldarelli is an Associate Fellow at the London Institute and Full Professor in theoretical physics at Ca’Foscari University of Venice. He studied physics at the University of Rome, Sapienza and did his PhD at the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste on the subject of self-organised criticality. Prof. Caldarelli went on to do postdocs at Manchester University and Cambridge. Since then, he has been an associate professor in the Italian CNR, a visiting professor at École Normale Supérieure and the University of Barcelona, and a NetSci Fellow. Among many other publications, he is the author of Oxford University Press’s Very Short Introduction to Networks.

Prof. Caldarelli's research interests focus on the theory and application of the statistical physics of complex networks.
