The future of AI

6:30pm, 5 Jun 2024

A panel of journalists from MIT Technology Review discusses the future of artificial intelligence and how the magazine is covering it.

In our private and professional lives, from the way we communicate with one another to how we form mathematical conjectures, the impact of artificial intelligence will be transformative. Writers and editors from MIT Technology Review have been following and commenting on the rise of AI for years. In this panel discussion, which is organised by the MIT Club of Great Britain, members of the magazine’s editorial team talk about what is exciting them in artificial intelligence, how they think about the technology, and what the future holds. The senior AI editor, Will Douglas Heaven, and the senior AI reporter, Melissa Heikkilä, will be moderated by the magazine’s executive editor, Niall Firth. The event will conclude with a Q&A.

Founded in 1899, MIT Technology Review is an independent award-winning bimonthly magazine, which reports on the newest technologies and their commercial, social and political impacts. The MIT Club of Great Britain is the association for MIT’s UK-based alumni. The event is open to members and non-members of MIT Club, but tickets must be booked before the event using the link below.
